FREE HUGS Campaign
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJdd4
Read the text next to the video after watching the clip.
I am going to make a FREE HUGS t-shirt.
I think this could possibly become a worldwide phenomenom. This guy may be onto something big; now with youtube. What a brillant idea. |

Yeah Liz!
FREE HUGS message is simple yet profound. There is hope in this troubled, divided and self-righteous world we live in. If we could just agree to disagree, accept our differences and move on... Well, FREE HUGS is a start.
Maybe we could all go do a FREE HUGS lindy bombing sometime and give hugs to random people. |

I find it so odd that today's society discourages physical contact, like hugging. I'm naturally a hugger, I love giving people hugs, but it's something that I've had to stop because so many people don't like it. Though I suppose I've been on the other side; my girlfriend's family all expect to be greeted with a kiss on the cheek, which I still find to be a little awkward. _________________ ~Kevin

Awesome video...
It really is a shame that society is so touchy about hugs now. Even in the schools, my colleagues and I are told not to hug the children and to not respond with a hug if they hug us. It's one of the hardest parts of my job, actually...how do you not hug a child when they are hugging you? It may be some of the only physical contact they get during the day...
I'm always up for a hug, so hug me next time I come down! _________________ I solemnly swear I am up to no good. |

Free Hugs Update:
As I expected, Free Hugs Campaign has turned into a global movement in a very short time and guess what? Free Hugs now in Philly! http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/15840607.htm
Here is the video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qw-VRDr2Yh4
The original free hugs video now is one of the most viewed and top favorite on youtube, and it's only a matter of time before it reaches number one. And, on youtube you can see people making and uploading their free hugs videos from all over the globe. Also, there has been plenty of press coverage. Now, fwiw, Juan Mann is supposed to be on Oprah soon...
BTW, I am not a hippie, I am a pragmatist. Hugs are nice and all, but what I really care about is the message of hope in humanity spreading. Just that one change in belief to an individual, collectively will/can make a world of difference... |
